BB bunker Kring Limburg-c
In Venlo you find a former BB-bunker (Civil Defence organization) at one of the Fire Brigade stations.
The bunker is built around in the 70's and has a very special design because it is built in a round shape.
It is very weird to be in a bunker that has a round shape. You have hardly the idea that you are in a bunker. The central room was built at first, later on the sleeping quarters, offices and corridors around the central room were added. In 1988 there was a major reconstruction of the bunker because it was transformed to a command centre for the Regional Fire Brigade.
In 2007 the bunker is abandoned and will be closed with brick walls very soon.
